Texas follows the federal overtime rule: time and a half after 40 hours in a week, with no daily overtime. Long festival and race days don't trigger overtime on their own, which keeps multi-day programs simpler to quote. We build shifts to keep weekly hours in check.
Festival-Scale Logistics
Austin City Limits runs two weekends back to back in Zilker Park. Plan call times around credential pickup and load-in before gates open, and if you're activating both weekends, book the same team for both so weekend two starts with everything weekend one learned.
Book Early for March and October
SXSW in March and October's ACL and F1 weekends are when the most brands want the same experienced staff. If your program lands in one of those months, send the request as soon as your dates are set.

Do you use local staff in Austin?

How far ahead should we book for SXSW, ACL or F1?

As early as you can. SXSW fills March, and ACL and the F1 United States Grand Prix both land in October, so those weeks draw on the same experienced brand ambassadors and the best people get booked first. Even on a short timeline, send the request. We respond to every quote within 48 hours.

Does Texas overtime change the quote?

Less than in some states. Texas follows the federal rule, with overtime after 40 hours in a week and no daily overtime, so a long single day doesn't trigger it. We'll flag anything like that in your quote.

Can you staff both weekends of Austin City Limits?
