Weekly Overtime, a Yearly Wage Step
Florida follows the federal weekly overtime rule: time and a half after 40 hours in a week, with no daily overtime, so long single days don't trigger it. The state minimum wage steps up every September 30, and quotes for events after that date reflect the new rate.
Golf Outings Spread Out
Resort golf outings rarely stay in one spot. For Journey for Good we staffed all three courses at Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, so plan a team for each course, clear check-in and on-course stations, and time to move people and product between them.
Conference Season Starts in January
VMX is at the Orange County Convention Center in January, and the CAGNY conference met in Orlando in February 2026. If your program lands on one of those weeks, or on EDC Orlando weekend in November, send the request as soon as your dates are set.
